The Trent Schools’ founding principles are:
• Honor the student's individuality • Help each student find and develop their unique learning style • Ensure every student is successful

The Trent Schools’ program follows the traditional home schooling model where a parent, or sometimes a tutor, works daily with the student. We provide the lessons and tests needed for each grade level. The lessons and tests are sent electronically as web links, so all you need is a computer. And you will never need to sign in or sit in a virtual classroom. Your homeschool will have all the lessons and tests emailed to you and can all be completed at the student’s pace.
Our curriculum covers five core subjects: Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Sciences, and Fine Arts. Every student receives 4 lessons at a time for each subject. Each lesson is intended to last one week. There are a total of 28 lessons which is similar to a typical school year. Our families usually work together around 2-3 hours a day, five days a week. However, we encourage every student to learn at the pace that is best for them, whether that is faster or slower.
Along with these lessons, we provide tests that monitor how well the student understands the material. After completing a set of lessons, the at-home teacher requests a test. These tests include single word, essay, and multiple choice questions. You can choose to have an online advisor grade these tests and offer feedback and assistance.
Here at Trent it is our belief that a home school education is empowering and one of the best ways for a student to learn. It allows every student to go deeper into their interests, advance their current skills and easily gain new ones. It also allows parents to spend quality time with their children.
We have helped thousands of students and families achieve their goals and move smoothly through to graduation.
