How does this program work? (CLICK TO CLOSE)

The Trent Schools is proud of its comprehensive homeschooling system for grades 1 through 12, which includes lessons and exams covering five core subjects: Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Sciences, and Fine Arts.

The Trent Schools' program is based on a traditional homeschooling model in which a parent or tutor engages daily with a child in the core subjects and progresses through the material at their own pace. Our curriculum is designed to be a road map for learning and to encourage deeper exploration.
Suggestions for supplemental activities are often provided.

During the course of the school year, students will receive 4 lessons at a time, for a total of 28 lessons in each subject area. After completing each set of lessons, the at-home teacher requests an exam. Each exam is worth a total of 100 points (20 points in each subject area) and includes single word, essay, and multiple choice-type questions.

Trent offers two grading options: 1) the at-home teacher grade the student's exam and emails the results. 2) an online academic advisor will grade the exam and will send you the results with notes.
